Board Games Evening, 26th November 2019

It's been a while since we've had a board games meetup and it's drawing into winter now, so come along for some cozy company

Bar21, Manchester, 19:00, Tuesday 26th November 2019

I'll have a small selection of board and card games with me, but it would help if you brought along your favourites too. Don't worry, no prior knowledge is assumed, so if your experience doesn't extend far past Scrabble, there will be someone to explain the rules. Even if you don't play, come along for a chat anyway

Board games have proven to be a great way to get to know people, check out our blog for a write-up on some previous events.

Bar 21 is a tried and tested Mensa favourite, with some unhealthy but delicious food like pizzas, brownies and cheesy chips, coffee, and a nice cocktail menu. There's disabled access and the venue is usually fairly quiet on a weekday.

Bar 21 is on Thomas Street in the Northern Quarter, a short walk from Shudehill and Market Street tram stops and also Piccadilly Bus Station. This is especially convenient for anyone working in the city centre, who can stay in town to meet with us - but we're also going to be around late enough that visitors from the rest of the Northern region can get there in plenty of time.

The pub is in Manchester's Northern Quarter, within 10 minutes' walk from Shudehill tram stop and bus interchange, Picadilly Gardens or Picadilly station, and 15 minutes' walk from Manchester Victoria. If you're arriving by car, there are numerous NCP-type car parks, or free parking can be found near Carnarvon street, north of Manchester Victoria. On-street parking nearby is available but limited, although it is free after 8pm.

If you get lost

On the day, call me on 07809168940 if you're lost. Feel free to send me a message beforehand too, if you're a newcomer, or need any more info.

We also always keep a close eye on the Facebook event and our Telegram group during all our events, so if you're lost or running late, you can get in touch with us there - and it's a great place to chat with us when we aren't running events, too.
