Unfortunately 'Discuss' have decided to postpone this event until after the EU referendum, it will likely be rescheduled for the start of the new academic year. If you've already booked tickets then you should already have an email from them with details of your refund.
As part of our continued quest to not only provide a social outlet but also an educational and advancing one, we head to another of the Guardian's 'Discuss' Manchester events.
If you've ever been in the pub with us, you'll know that a lot of us are partial to a strong opinion or two. That's why I hope to see lots of you at this next debate: "Free Speech Can Not Survive In a Connected World. Discuss"
These debates are always interesting, they're a bit hit and miss and can be more of a slanging match between the speakers than an in-depth discussion. Whichever way this one falls, it's bound to be entertaining and thought-provoking.
You can read our review of "Men are the Losers Now: Discuss." to see what we thought of a previous debate.
18:30, Thursday, 16th June 2016.
This one, like the last few debates, will be held in the People's History Museum, a cool building that expresses a neo-industrial fusion of modern glass and the exposed brickwork of the original pump house. We'll turn up a little early and gather in the lobby so we can head in and find seats together.* [Map link](https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/People's+History+Museumemail@example.com,-2.2550338,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x487bb1c316b3da17:0x6a3b6244cfb4d39f!8m2!3d53.4814492!4d-2.2528451) * [RVSP on Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/events/1724114324525614/) * [Retweet](https://twitter.com/YoungMensaNorth/status/738462460143898624) * [Discuss on Reddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/YoungMensaNorth/comments/4m8z6u/discuss_free_speech_can_not_survive_in_a/)
We will, as ever, head to the pub afterwards. There are a few Young Mensa favourites around that part of town, in particular The Gaslamp, which has a good selection of weissbiers and guest ales. If you don't fancy the debate you could join us here at roughly 8pm.
