Go Karting at Daytona Manchester, 2nd July 2016
This is a rather more adventurous event for us, we're going Go Karting.
Daytona Manchester, 20:00, Saturday 2nd of July 2016
We'll be taking part in an Arrive & Drive session, where you turn up, watch a brief safety video and then you get free reign of the track. This is really good for beginners, because you can take it at your own pace and get used to the karts without the pressure of an organised race, and it's also good for regulars, for similar reasons really! You'll get a print out of your times afterwards so we'll still be competing against each other.
When
Our time on the track starts at 20:30, but we need to be there at 20:00 to get our cool jumpsuits on and watch the safety video. We'll be on the track for 25 minutes, which will cost £28.50.
If you want to come along, contact me (at catriona@youngmensanorth.com) and I will give you the details to send me the money in advance, via PayPal. I'll be booking the tickets as soon as the slots are released, which should be later this week.
Where
Daytona Manchester is in the Trafford Park area of the city. It's around a 15 minute walk from Media City tram stop, or 25 minutes from Trafford Bar. If you'd rather drive there is also parking onsite.

Seeing as we'll be nearby, let's head to Media City for some drinks. Both Lime and The Dockyard will have something for everyone, they have pretty good selections of everything from beers and ciders to spirits, and decent cocktail menus. They also both serve food so if you're hungry after a hard day's racing it won't be a problem.
If you get lost

We'll also be keeping an eye on our Telegram group, which is a good way to catch us for last minute directions.
