Our midweek drinks are a tried and tested formula: simply drinks in a pub on a weeknight, perfect for catching up after work or wherever else you've been and enjoying relaxing surroundings and interesting conversations. Newcomers and old faces are all most welcome.
In a bid to add variety to our lives, we are going to try rotating these sessions around the many interesting drinking establishments of Manchester. First up is a grade II listed, at least two-hundred-year-old pub steeped in history and full of architectural features.
The Briton's Protection, Manchester, Thursday 22nd March 2018, 19:00
This is a bit of an old man's pub, very cosy and friendly. They have a famous whisky selection of over 200 varieties, as well as an excellent selection of real ales. We always stick around for a few hours, so feel free to come later (if you like, you can contact us on Facebook or Telegram to check we are still there).
The Briton's Protection is just a short walk from Deansgate or St Peter's Square metrolink stations, and from the main bus routes. If you are driving then you could park in one of the nearby NCPs, or try your luck in the surrounding streets.
