Midweek Drinks, 16th May 2018

We're continuing our rotation of the best drinking haunts in Manchester, with our May midweek drinks in Yard & Coop. These evening drinks are always a great first event for newcomers, with old faces and not-been-for-ages faces very much welcome too.

Yard & Coop, Manchester, 19:00, Wednesday 16th May 2018

The drinks selection here is good, with lots of gins, beers & cocktails in particular, as well as a good variety of most other drinks.

It tends to be quiet midweek, so should be perfect for chatting away to your fellow Mensans, getting to know us and most likely having a deep debate about anything from meteorites to chips!

Well be meeting at 19:00, which should suit anyone working in the city centre, who can stay in town to meet with us - but we're also going to be around until at least 22:00, late enough that visitors from the rest of the Northern region can get there in plenty of time.

As most Mensans should be able to discern, this bar serves a chicken-heavy menu, with a selection of other dishes available including vegetarian options.

Yard & Coop is on Edge Street in the Northern Quarter, a short walk from Shudehill and Market Street tram stops and also Piccadilly Bus Station.

If you are driving then you may be able to park on Edge Street itself, charges will apply. The controlled zone ends at the ring road, so you could park for free on Cross Keys Street or one near it, and there are several cheap car parks there such as the SIP on Mason Street, around five or ten minutes walk from the bar.

If you get lost

If you need help finding us then you can call or text the Phone Robot for directions, or "encouragement": 0144 360 6367

We also always keep a close eye on our Telegram group during all our events, so if you're lost or running late, you can get in touch with us there - and it's a great place to chat with us when we aren't running events, too.
